English club, Huddersfield have confirmed they have sacked their manager Mark Fotheringham after just 21 games in charge. The Scottish coach's departure means the club are now looking for a fourth manager since the summer, first triggered by Carlos Corberan's resignation in July.
The decision comes less than 24 hours after the Yorkshire outfit twice let slip a lead against relegation rivals Blackpool, who had 10 men for the second half, to draw 2-2 at Bloomfield Road.
Fotheringham leaves Huddersfield having collected 21 points from his 20 games in charge, an improvement on the seven points which had come from nine fixtures before his appointment.
Huddersfield released an official statement on their website to confirm the sacking of Fotheringham after just 21 games.
"Huddersfield Town can confirm that it has terminated the contract of Head Coach Mark Fotheringham with immediate effect. His assistant, Kenny Miller, has also left the Club," the club confirmed.
"Narcís Pèlach will take control of the team for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game at Wigan Athletic as Interim Head Coach."
